From time to time people ask me about the meaning of my pictures. I have no way to give them an answer. Painting - for me - is a wonderful journey into the world of art, a journey without particular thoughts or particular purposes.

As a man feels sometimes the need to go out from his home, to walk into nature without an aim, to breathe fresher air, so do I walk into the world of art. As it happens I may come to a dead-end, and - defeated - I have to go all the way back, but there are days when I come to a magical land where I find my happiness and my own place. In this land I breathe at will and I get the wish to sing with all my strength, here I find the best of worlds, a world without demands, without a particular meaning, without unrelated or improper thoughts.

Such a walk brings me the greatest happiness and I wish the same happiness for all art-lovers. The writer Hermann Hesse wrote once that “interpretations” are beautiful games for intelligent people but unrelated to the world of art. These people do not enter the intimate world of creativeness; they stand on the threshold trying hundreds of keys without noticing that actually the gate is quite open.
